We are proud to share that Resilience & Reconstruction co‑founder Steven Lacey has been awarded the Order of St Panteleimon: Certificate of Merit for their ongoing efforts to counter disinformation and support humanitarian initiatives related to Ukraine.

The award ceremony took place yesterday at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family in London, hosted by the Order of St Panteleimon Foreign Council UK. The event brought together members of the Ukrainian and British communities, medical professionals, and long‑standing supporters of Ukraine’s people and healthcare sector.

This Ukrainian state‑affiliated honour recognises significant contributions to public good and compassion in action. Among the recipients this year was Chris Alford, an NHS nurse and volunteer with the Ukrainian Medical Charity, whose work has helped deliver critical medical supplies to hospitals across Ukraine.

In attendance were numerous friends and allies of Ukraine, including the evening’s special guest Stephen Fry, who expressed his solidarity with Ukrainian doctors and humanitarian volunteers. The gathering also celebrated the partnerships of organisations such as the British Red Cross, ICMDA, Plast London, and many devoted community members and volunteers.

Reflecting on the recognition, the Resilience & Reconstruction co‑founder Steven Lacey shared:

“I’m deeply honoured and humbled to receive the Order of St Panteleimon Certificate of Merit. This award is a reminder of the power of collective effort. Every initiative against disinformation, every act of humanitarian support, is part of the same mission — to defend truth, dignity, and human life.”

Our heartfelt thanks go to Oksana Lovochkina for organising such a meaningful and beautifully curated evening of acknowledgment and solidarity.

This recognition reinforces Resilience & Reconstruction’s commitment to fostering authentic narratives, supporting communities affected by war, and strengthening the networks that connect Ukrainian and international partners in pursuit of lasting resilience and recovery.
